Morinello Celebrates Donate Life Month
This week, Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello (R,C,I,Ref-Niagara Falls) joined his Assembly colleagues in celebrating National Donate Life Month. Morinello also joined his colleagues in signing a Legislative Resolution on Tuesday to raise awareness of organ donation in New York State.
“Organ donation is a selfless act that could save the lives of thousands of New Yorkers, and is something each one of us should consider,” said Morinello. “Although you may choose not to participate, spreading the word of its importance can be just as impactful. I encourage all my constituents to take a moment to consider if they are interested in signing up to be an organ donor, and asking their family and friends to consider the option as well.”
According to Donate Life, New York’s Alliance for Donation, there are 10,000 New Yorkers currently waiting for life-saving organ transplants. With no cost to the donor or their family, organ donation is a sensible way to positively impact a fellow New Yorker in need.
