Morinello Hopes To Cut Spending, Make Life More Affordable For New Yorkers In 2019

A statement from Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello (R,C,I,Ref-Niagara Falls) in reaction to the governor’s State of the State address.

“Gov. Cuomo’s 2019 State of the State Address set the stage for a busy and eventful Legislative Session, but I’m concerned New York’s spending problem will be amplified if these proposals are introduced. We’re living in a tough time and many in my district struggle to pay their bills and provide for their families. As representatives of New York’s taxpayers, it’s our duty to pass legislation that truly impacts our constituents and makes life easier for them each day.

“The proposals laid out by Gov. Cuomo today were ambitious, but I believe our priorities lie with the issues that really matter to New Yorkers like reducing taxes, improving our infrastructure, enacting ethics reform and improving our state education system.”
