Morinello Looks To Real Issues As The Assembly Majority Reward Illegal Immigration

A statement from Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello (R,C,I,Ref-Niagara Falls)

“Yesterday, Albany waste was at an all-time high as the Assembly convened to pass the DREAM Act, making illegal alien’s eligible for taxpayer funded college tuition assistance in New York State,” said Morinello. “In 2017, the average student loan debt was roughly $39,400, yet Assembly Majority deem it necessary to prioritize illegal immigrants who abuse our legal system. I came to Albany to make changes for the hard-working and law-abiding men and women of our district, not to protect illegal aliens. We’re quickly approaching February, and we can’t continue wasting our time on futile legislation. I urge all my colleagues in the Legislature to cut the waste and start passing legislation that actually benefits New Yorkers.”
