Today, Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello (R,C,I-Ref-Niagara Falls) spoke during session to thank cadets from West Point who visited the Capitol for ‘West Point Day.’ Each year the State Legislature honors the premier military academy in New York and hosts a group of cadets for the day.

“It was a great honor to welcome some of our state’s West Point cadets to Albany today,” said Morinello. “As ranking minority member of the Veteran Affairs Committee and as a Vietnam War Veteran, I understand the challenges and sacrifices faced by those who have dedicated their lives to serve our nation. Without these brave men and women, we wouldn’t have the freedoms we’ve enjoyed and become so accustomed to in our country today. It’s fitting the Legislature dedicates a day every year to honor this prestigious institution and its cadets, and I’d like to personally thank them for all they’ve done and continue to do to ensure our protection and safety.”
