This fantastic event is set to take place amidst the excitement of the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region’s Walk for Autism – Cosplay and Character Edition, right in the heart of Schenectady’s Central Park on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 from 9am-12pm.

Be prepared for an awe-inspiring spectacle as thousands of rubber duckies make their grand entrance into the pond, creating a BIG SPLASH that you won’t want to miss. From there, it’s off to the races, with one lucky duck vying for glory in a thrilling dash to the finish line. My annual extravaganza is not just about fun and games; it’s a heartwarming event dedicated to supporting the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region and the incredible families they serve right here in the Capital Region.

About 1 in 36 children in the United States are now living with autism. As you may already know, my son, Michael, is one of the individuals affected by autism. Whether you’re a staunch self-advocate or have a cherished family member, friend, or community member affected by autism, this event is your chance to unite with local families for a day of autism acceptance in our community, get ready to be thoroughly entertained as thousands of rubber duckies take the plunge, creating a spectacle that’ll delight the young and the young at heart.
