Santabarbara and Fahy Call on Governor to Sign Legislation Extending Tuition Assistance Benefits to All Veterans
Assemblymembers Angelo Santabarbara and Patricia Fahy, joined by local elected officials, students, and veterans, will hold a press conference to urge Governor Kathy Hochul to sign legislation (A.9205-A/ S.8596-A) extending tuition assistance benefits to all veterans, not just those who have served in combat roles or zones.
Assemblyman Santabarbara, who served 8 years in the US Army Reserve, understands firsthand the importance of supporting those who have served in all capacities. This legislation ensures all veterans have access to the educational resources they need. The event is part of a statewide day of action to push for the bill’s approval ahead of Veteran’s Day.
