Santabarbara and State Legislators to Highlight Recommendations from Report on Rural Ambulance Services

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara and state legislators will join EMS professionals and advocates to discuss the Report on Rural Ambulance Services published by the NYS Rural Ambulance Services Task Force. The New York State Rural Ambulance Task Force was formed to help improve the quality and availability of ambulance services in rural areas. This task force was charged with a number of initiatives that include making recommendations to the state legislature on funding needs and policy issues concerning ambulance services in rural communities. The recent report published by the task force describes the rural EMS system in New York State as “teetering on the brink of collapse.”
