Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara joined community members for the grand opening of Amsterdam’s new boardwalk, celebrating the completion of a new public space along the Mohawk River.

The new boardwalk provides residents and visitors with another place to enjoy the waterfront, take in scenic views of the river, and spend time outdoors with family and friends.

“Amsterdam’s waterfront is one of the community’s greatest assets,” Santabarbara said. “This new boardwalk gives residents and visitors another reason to enjoy the Mohawk River and everything this community has to offer. Congratulations to everyone who helped make this project a reality.”

The grand opening welcomed community members to experience the boardwalk for the first time and celebrate the city’s newest waterfront addition.
