“With the ongoing investigation by the Attorney General and this lawsuit that has now been filed on behalf of the more than 1,100 former employees of St. Clare’s Hospital who lost their pensions, I’m hopeful that we are moving closer to a resolution,” said Assemblyman Santabarbara. “The fact is, the St. Clare's retirement plan was not only a commitment, but a promise that many planned their futures around. I urge the Roman Catholic Diocese, the St Clare’s Corporation and trustees to come together and do the right thing. These hardworking men and women dedicated years of their lives to the health care in our community and deserve nothing less than the full restoration of the pension funds they are entitled to.”
