Assemblyman Santabarbara Supports Emergency Funding to Prepare for Coronavirus Outbreak Response in New York State if Needed
New York State Assembly approves $40 million in emergency funding to address the emerging novel coronavirus (COVID-19) threat

With a confirmed case of coronavirus in New York State, I am fully supporting the emergency funding needed to prepare for a response if needed, said Assemblyman Santabarbara. The health and safety of our families must always come first and its important that we not wait and invest the necessary resources to combat this evolving, serious public health issue now, Santabarbara said. The Department of Health will be working with our local health departments and hospitals to review protocols and procedures, and this funding and help ensure theyre prepared with the additional staffing, equipment and supplies needed in the event this virus spreads.
