“I hope the nurses’ strike at Albany Med has brought attention to the many challenges our nurses have faced during COVID-19 and just how much we depended on them for the health of our community during this pandemic. The reality is, unsafe staffing levels and lack of personal protective equipment threaten the health and safety of nurses and the patients they care for. My heart is with those on the frontlines who have given so much during this public health crisis. It’s time to return to the negotiating table to ensure safe working conditions and the staffing levels necessary that keep everyone safe.”
