“During this pandemic, we saw how a breakdown in the state’s Health Emergency Reporting Data System created another element of difficulty in ensuring a proper government response. I’m working to pass legislation that mandates the timely release of this data so we can protect our communities as we work through the ongoing pandemic and avoid similar obstacles in the future (A.244),” said Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara. “A mandated release of this critical information will help health care providers and government agencies alike. The sooner we have accurate, comprehensive health care data during a crisis, the sooner we can implement better emergency response policies to save lives and deploy resources efficiently.”
