Assemblyman Santabarbara to Host Blood Drives in Honor of 9/11

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara announced that he is hosting a series of blood drives with the American Red Cross to honor victims of the September 11th attacks.

“In honor of the victims of 9/11, I encourage everyone who can donate blood to consider the lifesaving potential they hold within themselves,” said Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara. “Whether it’s supporting a victim of traumatic injuries or a patient undergoing chemotherapy, donating blood today can save the life of a fellow American tomorrow.”

Event staff and participants must follow safety guidelines including temperature checks, social distancing, and must wear face masks. The Red Cross will also screen all blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies, which can be used to help those who are battling the virus.

Donations are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY – call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit their website to schedule a donation time.
