“I strongly oppose the recent decision on both sides of the border to reduce hours at numerous crossings in the North Country. This decision will be detrimental for many local residents who regularly use these crossings to visit loved ones as well as local businesses who depend on these crossings which will cause commerce including goods and services crossing the border to be negatively impacted. I join the Governor and other local officials in calling on the federal government to reconsider this decision. I have written letters to our federal representatives requesting that they take action on this and ask that you all do the same.”
