“It is great news that New York has released a plan to start vaccinating all New Yorkers 16 and over by Tuesday April 6. The vaccination sites across the North Country – from the state sites to the county health department PODs to pharmacies – have worked incredibly hard to vaccinate our residents, and it is remarkable that our region is one of the highest vaccinated areas in our state. These sites are more than equipped to continue to vaccinate the North Country, and that is why I previously called on the Governor and the Department of Health to open up the vaccine to all who wish to be vaccinated. Now that there is a plan to allow all New Yorkers to be vaccinated, infection rates will continue to decrease, keeping residents safe as we continue to take more steps to fully reopen our economy.”
