Assemblyman Jones Visits Clinton County Highway Department after Securing $125,000 for New Road Grader
Assemblyman Billy Jones (D-Chateaugay Lake) visited the Clinton County Highway Department to check out the new road grader the department purchased thanks to state funding the assemblyman secured in 2019.
“Keeping our roads safe is an issue that impacts everyone since we all travel these roads every day,” said Assemblyman Jones. “It is important that our local municipalities have the necessary equipment to repair our roads so that we can travel safely. I am proud to have secured $125,000 for the Clinton County Highway Department to purchase a new road grader and will continue to support important infrastructure projects that not only improve our daily lives but also create important jobs.”
“Clinton County Highway would like to extend its thanks to Assemblyman Jones for the state funding he secured to assist the County in purchasing a much-needed piece of highway maintenance equipment,” said Karl Weiss, Clinton County Highway Superintendent. “This equipment will enable County Highway to perform essential road maintenance work throughout the County year-round.”
Since 2017, Assemblyman Billy Jones has secured over $3.5 million in state funding for various municipalities across the North Country to support the acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, and improvement of public facilities and capital assets.
