Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21^st A.D.) recently installed Ed Cook as the new post commander of the East Rockaway Robert Garrison VFW Post. Cook is taking over for the recently deceased and well-respected long-term commander Joseph McCarthy.

“Joseph McCarthy leaves giant shoes to fill leading the East Rockaway VFW, but I know Ed will fill those shoes. He is a pillar of the veteran community and will do a great job leading the post. I cannot wait to stop by soon and see what a great job he is doing,” said Curran.
