Over the weekend Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook- 21st A.D.) hosted his annual “Women of Distinction” event. This event is to highlight the wonderful women that make the 21st district so special. Stephanie Paul, Lynne Harvey, and Kacie Curran were honored. Stephanie serves as a village trustee, is president of East Rockaway Kiwanis, is a countywide delegate for Girl Scouts and is involved with St. Raymond Faith Formation. Lynne was the president of the Lynbrook Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, she also served as trip coordinator for visits to Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Kacie is a member of the Lynbrook Fire Department serving with Lynbrook Emergency Medical Company #1, she has received awards for two life-saving actions and was honored as firefighter of the year in 2021.

“It is my great honor to recognize all these amazing and inspiring women. Often their accomplishments may be overlooked, but these women are not in it for the glory, they simply love their community and want to give back. So the least I can do on behalf of a grateful community is to recognize them. They are truly an example of what a great woman and citizen should be,” said Curran.
