Curran Honors Women of Distinction from Freeport
Over the weekend Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.) hosted his annual “Women of Distinction” event. This event is held to highlight the wonderful women who make the 21st District so special. Pam Walsh-Boening was one of those honored. Pam is currently the Village Clerk for Freeport, a position she has held for 15 years. She was recently elected as president of the Long Island Village Clerks and Treasures Association.
“It is my great honor to recognize all these amazing and inspiring women. Often their accomplishments may be overlooked, but these women are not in it for the glory, they simply love their community and want to give back. So the least I can do on behalf of a grateful community is to recognize them. They are truly an example of what a great woman and citizen should be,” said Curran.
