Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.) recently presented the Village of Rockville Centre with $50,000 in grant money to be used to increase security and safety in the community. With the money, the village will buy and install new security cameras in the community, which will be monitored by the Rockville Centre Police Department and will be used to deter crime.

“I will always back the blue and will always work to ensure they have the most up-to-date equipment. That is why I was proud to present Rockville Centre with this funding. These new cameras will be positive for the community and will help make the village safer for everyone,” said Curran.

“The Board of Trustees and I are thankful to Assemblyman Brian Curran for his hard work in securing the necessary funding to help equip the Rockville Centre Police Department with security cameras that will strengthen security and safety here in the Village of Rockville Centre,” commented Mayor Francis X. Murray. 

“The intelligence and information our officers are able to attain with these cameras is a proven and effective component to fighting crime and capturing criminals while also preserving the quality of life here in the Village of Rockville Centre,” concluded Murray.
