“The budget is now 10 days late and the Legislature was called back to pass a second extender to ensure bills and government employees are paid. I am proud to join my colleague Assemblyman Gandolfo and a group of Young Minority assembly members in holding the governor accountable for late budgets by co-sponsoring a bill to withhold the governor’s pay until a budget is passed. We came to Albany to fix it and offer solutions to the changes we want to see in our government. New York taxpayers have to meet deadlines or face consequences, so should our top officials.”
