“It comes as no surprise that Gov. Cuomo’s address was rife with a progressive agenda and a marked focus on downstate projects. While I am pleased with the focus on establishing a permanent tax cap, it’s a small bandage on the terrible tax climate Gov. Cuomo’s policies aggravate. That’s not even mentioning the lack of ethics reform that, from the governor’s combative attitude with the Legislature’s Oversight Committee, is going to be even more of an afterthought than it usually is.”
