Crouch: New Yorkers Are Lucky Assembly One-House Resolution Is Just a Wish List

A Statement from Assemblyman Clifford W. Crouch (R-Bainbridge)
March 13, 2019

“After reading through the Assembly Majority’s one-house budget resolution today, I know one thing is for certain, the Assembly Majority members are completely out of touch with the needs of upstate New York. As if New Yorkers don’t already struggle with the highest taxes in the country, the Assembly Majority members found a way to add $5.7 billion in new taxes in their spending plan, while cutting agriculture funding to our local struggling farmers and rejecting making the property tax cap permanent. Luckily for residents of the state this is nothing more than a wish list. As budget negotiations continue, know that I remain focused on fighting for the proper funding for our local roads and bridges, adequate pay for our direct-care workers and funding for our struggling farmers.”
