Assemblyman Dan Stec (R,C,I-Queensbury) joined several of his colleagues at a press conference today calling for a full restoration of funding to the Office of People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). Stec supported an amendment to the state budget this year that would have fully restored funding to OPWDD and has been a vocal advocate for the developmentally disabled and their caregivers.

"The Office of People With Developmental Disabilities provides essential services to some of the most vulnerable members of our communities,” said Stec. “It is truly unconscionable to give handouts to Hollywood at the expense of the developmentally disabled and their caregivers. We have an obligation to address this immediately, so our developmentally disabled community can better receive the dignified, quality care they deserve."
