Assemblyman Dan Stec (R,C,I-Queensbury) welcomed David Hunt, a local Boy Scout from Saranac Lake, to the Assembly Chamber on Wednesday. David is said to have rescued his brother from a serious accident and was honored for his valor and courage. Both Stec and Assemblywoman Janet Duprey’s districts straddle Saranac Lake.

“The Boy Scouts is a crucial organization that teaches valuable life skills and outdoor survival techniques to young men throughout the nation,” Stec said. “Local troops are particularly important in my district where terrain becomes rugged and allows members to fine tune their outdoor skills in the Adirondack wilderness. I was proud to honor David in the Assembly Chamber Wednesday, and I will continue to support the Boy Scouts in any capacity possible.”
