Assemblyman David DiPietro Takes Oath Of Office In Native East Aurora
Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C, East Aurora) was recently administered his Oath of Office for the State Assembly in the town where he served as Mayor, East Aurora. This past November, DiPietro was elected to serve in the Assembly in the newly created 147th District which includes portions of Wyoming and Erie counties.
“To take the Oath of Office in a place where I served as Mayor and continue to run my small business is a moment of great pride for me. This town and community have done a lot for me, and I cannot express how excited I am to give back in my new capacity as its voice in the State Assembly,” Assemblyman DiPietro said. “As soon as I get up to Albany I will fight for the citizens of this community and all New Yorkers the same way I did as Mayor. Limited taxation accompanied with a smaller, more efficient government is the only way to stimulate long-term jobs and invest in New York State.”
Assemblyman DiPietro will serve as the Ranking Minority Member of the Small Business Committee. As the Ranking Minority Member, DiPietro will be the lead voice for the Assembly Minority Conference on the Committee and put to use his experience running his family’s dry cleaning business since 1991. He also will serve on the following committees: Transportation, Economic Development, Health, and Labor.
