DiPietro: Governor’s State Of The State Focuses Too Heavily On Social Issues
A Statement from Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora)
January 9, 2013
Today’s State of the State Address focused too heavily on social issues while our economy continues to struggle. If we do nothing to curb state debt, it will continue to rise. For decades, Albany has consistently spent more than it can afford and it’s time for some real efforts to provide meaningful tax and unfunded mandate relief. Our generation cannot continue to pass the buck onto our children and grandchildren. Let us focus on fixing our fiscal house before we begin tackling white water rafting and social issues such as decriminalization of marijuana.
