DiPietro Addresses NY2A Rally In Support Of Second Amendment
Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) today addressed the #NY2A rally in West Capitol Park in Albany. The event was the largest protest against the NY SAFE Act to date.
“This rally really shows how passionate people are about our Constitutional freedoms. I was honored to speak at this event and be surrounded by people who value the wisdom of our Founding Fathers,” DiPietro said. “The governor has gone too far in his efforts to force his progressive agenda down the throats of decent New Yorkers, and I will not allow for this type of injustice to take place. Our freedoms are too precious to be thrown away in the dead of night by a law that will do nothing to prevent the disasters he claimed influenced his decision. Our founders were right, Gov. Cuomo is wrong.”
DiPietro was joined by many of his Assembly colleagues and advocates for the Second Amendment in addressing the crowd. He has been speaking at rallies in his home district as well as in Albany to stay on top of a cause he views as one of the most important taken up at the Capitol this year.
