DiPietro Joins Recall Revolution
April 26, 2013
Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) took part in a press conference to draw attention to Assembly Bill 6161, which would allow citizens to recall their state elected officials. The bill proposes a constitutional amendment and has been drafted in response to the corruption scandals in Albany.
“Corruption is rampant in Albany, and it is leading to the public not having any faith in their government,” DiPietro said. “We are on the verge of something historic in New York – giving the power back to the people to pull legislators from office should they ever betray the public trust. This bill is a move in the right direction to prevent further corruption of our elected officials.”
