DiPietro: Governor Incapable Of Fixing Albany Corruption
A statement issued by Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C – East Aurora)
July 28, 2014
Four years ago, we heard promises from this governor that he would be the one to clean up Albany. After the New York Times exposé, it is clear that he has been consumed by the corruption. By interfering with his own Moreland Commission, Gov. Cuomo has shown he is incapable of rising above politics and his own sense of self-preservation to do the right thing. Government cannot perform the people’s business if even the anti-corruption panel is riddled with corruption.
We deserve better. We deserve an open and transparent investigation into the Moreland Commission and the involvement of the governor’s office.
