Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C – East Aurora) is announcing the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) is beginning construction to repair the East Koy Creek Bridge between Sheppard Road and Hardys Road in the Hamlet of Hermitage. DiPietro made the project a priority of his during Transportation Committee meetings.

“I am proud to announce the repairs our community desperately needs will be performed starting in May,” DiPietro said. “As a member of the Transportation Committee, I fought to get this project on the list of priorities on the state level. Earlier this week, I stood with several of my colleagues in calling for more CHIPS funding in the budget. What has happened to the Koy Creek Bridge is a microcosm of what is happening to our infrastructure around our community and Western New York. I will continue to fight until every road and bridge in our community has received the same treatment the Koy Creek Bridge is getting.”
