DiPietro Votes In Favor Of Ethics Measures
Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C – East Aurora) today voted for a series of ethics reforms proposed by his colleagues in the Assembly Minority. These resolutions, presented at a press conference last week, ranged in topic from expanding transparency in the committee process to resource equity among Assembly members. All 17 measures were defeated by the Assembly Majority.
“Today, my colleagues and I put forward reforms that would have increased the transparency and accountability of our chamber,” DiPietro said. “Unfortunately, this is not the way the Assembly Majority would like to conduct business. This year, we were presented with a unique opportunity to reform and restore the public trust in the People’s House. Sadly, it appears with each passing day those across the aisle are uninterested in doing so.”
