DiPietro: Finally A Vote On Human Trafficking
A statement by Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora)
March 17, 2015
I am proud to have been a sponsor of the bill passed to improve the way our state handles human trafficking. Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery, and our state has to become better equipped to deal with this ongoing fight. I feel confident this bill puts New York on the right path toward protecting trafficking victims and bringing its perpetrators to justice. This has been an issue I’ve worked on, not just in the legislature, but also through my church. This is a long-overdue victory, and I look forward to accomplishing more on this highly-important issue in the future.
