In light of the recent undercover videos released by The Center for Medical Progress exposing the callousness of Planned Parenthood and the abortion process, Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) is calling for a statewide investigation into Planned Parenthood and a freeze on any state funding going to the organization for the purposes of abortion. The Center for Medical Progress already has released four videos chronicling horrific standards in Planned Parenthood, saying several more are to come.

“We have high ranking members of the Planned Parenthood organization admitting on camera that they change the abortion procedure to harvest the organs of unborn children. These videos have members of their organization laughing about the child being ‘Another boy,’ and pronounce it to be a baby, something pro-abortion people have been hiding from for years,” DiPietro said. “These videos show an organization profiting from the harvesting of human organs. I shudder to think about what the upcoming videos will show us. These atrocities should not be occurring in our state, and I am calling for a full statewide investigation into whether or not Planned Parenthood is profiting from the sale of fetal organs.”

DiPietro has made protecting the sanctity of human life a staple of his agenda on the Assembly Floor and through legislation. In 2013. 2014. and 2015 he gave powerful testimonials on the Assembly Floor on his pro-life values. DiPietro sponsors Assembly Bill 5503, which would prohibit state funds from going to Planned Parenthood organizations. He also sponsors Assembly Bills 3725 and 3717, which would require the testing of a fetal heartbeat and an ultrasound be given and reviewed before an abortion takes place, respectively.
