“This governor has put together a biased panel that helped put New York in the mess it’s currently in. If there was any seriousness to reforming the Common Core curriculum, there wouldn’t be conversations about just changing the name and moving on with it. Our children, teachers, parents and administrators deserve better than to be mocked by a panel with a predetermined solution.

“We have seen this before, the governor appoints those who agree with him, they release a report or a guideline showcasing his idea was right all along, and then he takes credit for the findings. Instead of delivering his own ideas, he hides behind faux third-party support. We must implement a full stop to Common Core and allow our teachers, who live in our neighborhoods and know our students, to have control of our classrooms. No more bureaucrats, no matter whether they are located in D.C., Albany or on a phony panel.”
