DiPietro Hosts Education Leaders to Discuss Common Core, APPR
Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) held a breakfast meeting with superintendents, Board of Education members and teaching staff members from across his district to seek better answers about reforming the state’s education system.
“Meeting with those entrusted with implementing Cuomo’s Common Core curriculum and handling the regulations set forth by Albany and the State Education Department confirmed all of my worst fears,” DiPietro said. “Common Core is handcuffing those who seek to educate our children. An Albany or Washington D.C. bureaucrat shouldn’t and can’t have this much power over what goes on inside our community’s schools. I will be bringing this firsthand testimony with me to Albany to continue the fight against Common Core and to restore local control of our classrooms.”
