Assemblyman David DiPietro Celebrates Successful Opioid Forum
Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) sponsored a very successful Opioid Awareness event at Iroquois Middle School in Elma this week. Joining forces with the Erie County Sheriffs, represented by Deputy Aaron Naeglya; Andrea Mazzeni, Associate Director of Community Health for Adapt Pharma; representatives from (ITAC), It Takes a Community, Cindy Anton, a parent touched by the crisis and Jessica Hutchings from Kids Escaping Drugs, they painted a full and concise picture of the crisis and the myriad ways in which the community can fight against it.
“I am immensely pleased with the turnout at the event.” DiPietro said. “Only together can we curb the spread of this terrible Opioid Epidemic, and seeing so many skilled and driven people in one place encourages me to fight all the harder against its spread. There’s still so much to do but these forums are central to organizing the fight to keep our communities safe and healthy.”
