Assemblyman David DiPietro Hosts Second Opioid Forum
Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) sponsored a second Opioid Awareness event at Warsaw Middle/High School in Warsaw last week. He was joined once again by Jessica Hutchings from Kids Escaping Drugs, an organization spearheading the fight against Opioids and other harmful drugs from affecting our children. Jessica Hutchings; a parent who was touched by this terrible epidemic, was joined by Becky DeMuth, a Public Health Nurse from Wyoming County Health Department and Jerianne Klein from Smart Recovery. The importance of this dialogue is central to how we as communities and families can stand against Opioids and keep our towns safe and healthy.
“I am eternally dedicated to protecting our children; and these forums are an immensely important component to fighting the spread of opioids,” DiPietro said. “The epidemic is growing, and only by keeping our focus on the issue and facilitating dialogue between the varied groups and individuals fighting against it can we curb the spread of opioids. I will always continue to facilitate these dialogues and lead the charge against opioid abuse until our homes and communities are free from this crisis.”
