Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) is spearheading an initiative to honor and recognize deceased veterans. The Commemorate our Hometown Heroes Bridges and Roads Name Program seeks to memorialize deceased wartime veterans and recognize them for their service to both our community and our country. The program’s aim is to promote public awareness of individuals and commemorate their sacrifice by naming a bridge or future roadway after them.

“It is immensely important that we remember the sacrifices our veterans have given for our country.” DiPietro said.” My Commemorate our Hometown Heroes Program will ensure we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. It is my hope to honor and give remembrance to those deceased veterans and eternally show our communities’ respect for their service.”
