Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) alongside Sen. Patrick Gallivan (R-C-I, Elma) are fighting for a bill that provides funding for grades K-12 to provide basic school supplies to all attending students(A7970-B). Pens, paper, flash cards and binders, all essential tools to learning would be provided by a grant to each student’s school district to enable the supply. This would greatly help alleviate the financial stress of the impending school year and give all New York children the same starting point no matter of their background or circumstances. “Fighting to give our children a bright future is central to my goals as a legislator,” DiPietro said. “This bill gives us the ability to equip all of our kindergarten through grade 12 students with the tools they need to start the school year off strong and on an equal footing.
