Equal Start In School: DiPietro To Hold Press Conference Announcing Bill To Provide Basic School Supplies K-12 To New York Families
Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) alongside Sen. Patrick Gallivan (R-C-I, Elma) are fighting for a bill that provides funding for grades K-12 to provide basic school supplies to all attending students(A7970-B). Pens, paper, flash cards and binders, all essential tools to learning would be provided by a grant to each student’s school district to enable the supply. This would greatly help alleviate the financial stress of the impending school year and give all New York children the same starting point no matter of their background or circumstances. “Fighting to give our children a bright future is central to my goals as a legislator,” DiPietro said. “This bill gives us the ability to equip all of our kindergarten through grade 12 students with the tools they need to start the school year off strong and on an equal footing. I’m proud to stand alongside Sen. Gallivan while we make such strong headway to improving our education system. We must look to our students as the brightest hope for the future and ensuring they have the best possible education is something we can never be slack on.”
