DiPietro Appalled By Harris Indictment
A statement on Pamela Harris indictment by Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora)
January 10, 2018
“Just last week we heard Gov. Cuomo’s State of the State Address, where barely any whispers about ethics reform were made, and now we have another New York lawmaker indicted on corruption charges. How is it that this atmosphere is so pervasive in Albany, yet the governor says almost nothing about it? It’s long past due for serious action toward ethics reform and I for one will push for sweeping reforms in 2018.
“To say I am disappointed is an understatement. We are elected to represent our people and to have such a lack of credibility as a lawmaker is simply reprehensible. I hope the Harris indictment will finally serve as the wake-up call Albany needs and get Gov. Cuomo to acknowledge this canker under his shadow.”
