Assemblyman David DiPietro to Host Free Red Carpet Movie Screening of “Ferdinand” for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Light And Sound Sensitivities

Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I–East Aurora), in partnership with the DDAWNY- Developmental Disability Alliance of Western New York, and The Spotlight Theater, will host a red carpet-themed screening of “Ferdinand” for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families. The free event will be held at The Spotlight Theater in Warsaw on Saturday, Sept. 8 and will begin at 9:30 a.m. Prior to the event, attendees will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet and have their picture taken like a Hollywood celebrity. The screening of the film will feature several autism-friendly amenities, including lower volume, house lights on at half capacity and a judgment-free venue. Seats are still available for this free event, however space is limited and RSVPs are required.
