Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) recently gave out the first award honoring local educators. Lisa Barron of Parkdale Elementary School in East Aurora was awarded the first certificate for her dedication to her student’s education.

“Lisa is one of the best teachers I’ve had the honor of meeting, and to have her teaching in my hometown of East Aurora is a great treasure to the community,” DiPietro said. “We trust our teachers to bring out the best in our students and Lisa is the textbook example of what a teacher should be. She’s determined, caring, and passionate about each one of her charges and I am very proud to honor her hard work. Thank you so much for what you do!”
