DiPietro Attends Rally Calling to Fully Repeal Bail Reform

Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) attended a rally in Albany today, standing with over 250 members of law enforcement, state senators and assemblymen, calling for a full repeal of bail reform. DiPietro echoes the message of the rally to prevent events like the hit and run on Christmas Eve, which resulted in the death of a mother of three and the release of a man who shot and killed his girlfriend in front of their 4-year-old daughter, by sponsoring legislation (A.8855) to protect all New Yorkers.

“Standing here alongside all these members of law enforcement and those on the front lines really drives the point home,” DiPietro said. “This disgusting ‘historic reform,’ as the Majority politicians put it, has ended so many lives, destroyed too many families, enough is enough. We’re all calling for it, the people of New York demand it and their voices are being heard. Repeal Bail Reform!”
