DiPietro Demands Action on Bail Reform

A statement by Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) on bail reform dominating public protection discussion.

“It’s disgusting. How can they sit there on their pulpits and dodge perfectly valid critiques of the bail reform scandal while people are being hurt, some killed? We should have spent all that time debating to repeal it, but instead the Majority politicians engaged in political games to protect their image and ideologically-driven decision. I’d like to see them sit in front of the victims of some of those released from bail reform and be so candid and dismissing. It’s far past time we dispensed with these partisan political games and protected the lives of all New Yorkers.”
