Martin Avenue Elementary School Participates In Assemblyman McDonough’s 2009 Food Drive

Assemblyman David G. McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) is pictured with the students from the Martin Avenue Elementary School who recently collected over 800 items for Assemblyman McDonough’s 2009 Food Drive to benefit persons and families in need.

“There is an unprecedented need throughout our communities for assistance. We are all experiencing hard times due to the current economic conditions, but many of our families, friends and neighbors are being hit harder than the rest of us. I am proud and overwhelmed by the generosity of the students and families of the Martin Avenue Elementary School,” said Assemblyman McDonough.

The Assemblyman is accepting donations of canned goods and other non-perishable food items at his District Office, located at 404 Bedford Avenue, Bellmore, throughout the year. All donations will be delivered to local food pantries in the area for distribution.
