Assemblyman McDonough Participates In “Coats For Kids” Campaign
Assemblyman David G. McDonough (R,C-Merrick) announced that in association with the Neighborhood Cleaners Association (NCA) he is once again participating in the “Coats for Kids” program by seeking the donation of children’s and adult coats, which will be collected by the Neighborhood Cleaners Association. The 450 members of the NCA will then collect, clean and distribute these outer garments to needy individuals.
“With the cold weather fast approaching, it is time to think of those less fortunate and with the donation of a used coat, be able to provide these individuals with warm outer garments,” said Assemblyman McDonough, adding, “It is my privilege to once again be able to participate in this program.”
Over the past seven years in which I have participated in the “Coats for Kids” campaign, over 7,000 coats were donated through my office and distributed to needy individuals. I am astounded by the generosity of people and these donations will help keep many needy people warm this winter,” said Assemblyman McDonough.
Anyone interested in making a donation can drop it off at Assemblyman McDonough’s district office at 404 Bedford Avenue, Bellmore, where there will be a collection box until December 4.
