McDonough To Evaluate Cuomo’s Budget
Assemblyman David McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) today began an in-depth review of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s first Executive Budget. McDonough analyzed the governor’s key proposed cuts and other recommendations in the 1,000-plus-page document which is seeking to close a projected $10 billion deficit. Assemblyman McDonough is carefully reviewing all proposals within the 2011-2012 Executive Budget which would have a direct impact on his district.
“I will not support a state budget which raises taxes on hard-working Long Islanders, nor will I hike spending in the midst of a multi-billion-dollar-deficit crisis. I will, however, review this state budget carefully and seek input from the taxpayers of the 19th Assembly District in order to more effectively represent their interests in the upcoming budget debate,” said McDonough.
