Today, I applaud the recent passage of legislation to re-establish the STAR property tax rebate check program. Senator Fuschillo and the Senate Majority’s action demonstrate their dedication to easing the burden on hardworking Long Island taxpayers.

With only eight days remaining in the legislative session, I implore the Assembly Majority to bring to the floor and pass legislation that would do the same. This proposal would allow Long Island families to keep more of their hard-earned money where it belongs – in their pockets. Our focus over the next two weeks should be creating jobs, cutting taxes, and improving the business climate on Long Island.
