Assemblyman Braunstein Announces Winners of Northeast Queens Halloween Essay & Drawing Contest

Bayside, NY – Assemblyman Edward C. Braunstein (D-Bayside) is happy to announce the four winners of his annual Halloween Essay & Drawing Contest. The grand prize winners are:

  • 2nd grade: Mckenzie Morgan, P.S. 98 in Douglaston, Painting, “Moonlight and the Cat Family”
  • 3rd grade: Heera Ramchal, P.S. 18 in Bellerose, Illustrated Essay, “Three Days Before Halloween”
  • 4th grade: Allison Huh, P.S. 159 in Bayside, Drawing, “Untitled”
  • 5th grade: Logan Pulido, P.S. 221 in Little Neck, Short Story, “Trick-or-Treating Late at Night”

“Mckenzie, Heera, Allison and Logan each showed great creativity and attention to detail with their entries to my office’s Halloween Essay & Drawing Contest. Their families and school communities should be very proud,” said Assemblyman Braunstein. “I want to thank each of the nearly 200 local students who got into the spirit of Halloween and submitted spooky entries to this year’s contest.”

All winners received a special New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit and an Amazon gift card. All contest participants will receive a Certificate of Merit.
